2009 Freshmen Picnic

Many of the new freshmen, first year sophomores and their families were welcomed to the Nimitz NJROTC Unit, Saturday 19 September with the annual Freshmen Picnic. There was a wonderful showing of over 200 persons, cadets, parents and siblings. Fun, chow, tours of the building for parents and games a plenty were the themes of the day.

A pick up game of flag football precede lunch. An individual competition in push-ups, pull-ups and a platoon, parent-included, tug-of-war followed lunch. Daniel V. a senior won both the pull-up and push-up competition while third platoon won the double elimination tug-of war against the other four platoons.
