The Freshman “A” football team defeated Kingwood last night by a score of 19 to 16. JP Lowery and Thomas Avalos scored touchdowns with some nice runs, and Ian Wooldridge connected with Tyler Jentzen in the end zone for another score. Mitchell Becker provided the extra points, and did a great job with the kicking game. The defense bounced back after giving up a touchdown on Kingwoods opening drive, and held the Mustangs running attack to only one more score the rest of the way. Devin Brinkley had a key interception and the front four of Uriah Morin, Joshua Benjamin, Zach Fattig and Matt Valdez played well on the defensive line. The Wildcats will face Baytown Lee next week at home.
Robert A. Wooldridge
